Our Goal is to raise $20,000 for Variety Bash 2024. Here's how we are going so far:

Projects - Variety
Why Variety?
Variety provides grants to individuals and organisations in need. Grants are available for medical and mobility supplies and equipment, technology, educational resources and essential personal items such as nappies and feeding appliances.
Not only does the Variety Bash serve as an effective fundraising project in aid of disadvantaged children, it aligns with our Q1 2023/24 core mission: Big Audacious Mission (BAM). Logan Village Lions club has runs on the board: this year $15,000 raised for Variety and membership increased by 15% (directly related to the Bash) over the 3-year life of the project. The car increases our visibility in our local area and helps increase profile.
District Q1 Supports Variety
The Variety Bash is an annual adventure with mates driving 30+ year old cars through regional parts of Queensland. The 2023 bash was a 10-day event from Toowoomba to Cairns that raised over $1,000,000, all to help give Aussie kids a fair go.
In 2024 the event is Goondiwindi to Gold Coast
Fundraising
In 2023 our club raised over $15,000 and donated the funds sponsorship of our car 1104, pictured here in Toowoomba at registration.
We have already committed to entering the bash for 2024 (Goondiwindi to Gold Coast).
We're spreading the love. Your club can now use our car with the help of Q1 in 2024. Go for it...the worst can happen is you'll have some fun on the Bash. We've done the hard yards in preparing the car, so talk with our Secretary Lion Phil (himself a basher) on 0403 655 855 to find out more.

Through our entry in the 'Bash', we've donated over $30,000 to Variety, In 2024 we upped the ante and donated over $17,500 alone. Here's Lion Brad at a fundraiser at the Hop & Pickle, in South Brisbane.
